Welcome to the hop! I'm giving away a $15 Starbucks gift card... but first...

Let me introduce myself. I live in Arizona with my real life hero, three teenagers, and three cats. When I'm not busy writing I'm out playing in desert with my family, going on an adventure, or swimming. I'm a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and romantic suspense.

My newest release is up for pre-order. It's part of a boxed set. Check it out here! My book in the set is Split Decision, Ringside Book 1. Here's what it is about: Sports reporter Grace Avery is up for a promotion, but only if she gets an interview with the notoriously private, heavy weight champion, Rally Brewer. Grace discovers who Rally is beyond the boxing ring. Little does anyone know, as Grace gets Rally to open up, a two-year-old secret is in jeopardy. Is revealing his secret worth gaining Grace’s love?

My Sexy Saturday- Jesse's Girl

I hope you enjoy this little teaser of Jesse's Girl. I sure love the chemistry between them, don't you?"

“You’re so sweet,” his lips only moved off her skin long enough to whisper the words before moving lower. He gently sucked on her neck, and kissed her shoulder. His fingers flicked her nipple once, twice, and on the third time she moaned again.
     “Jesse. I want you.”

“Do you, Zoey?” He grabbed her

hand and brought it behind

her back where she stayed nestled

against his toned body. Desire

shot through her as soon as her hand made contact with his skin.

I have exciting news!! You can now preorder your copy of Jesse's Girl. Hop on over to Amazon and grab a copy here!

 Blurb:

Jesse Lincoln had tried to give his heart away once. He’d almost devoted his loyalty and his faith in Samantha. Almost. While he was trying to give her those secret and sacred parts of him, she chose to walk on the dark side with Jesse’s enemy, his very own brother. No wonder Jesse had turned to working extra-long hours and one too many drinks when the office closed every day. He’d thought he’d kept this side of his life well hidden. But one person has noticed. His best friend insists on Jesse entering a wellness program for 30 days. Faking his way through while keeping his problem a secret shouldn't be so hard, right? It would be a lot easier if the owner, Zoey, wasn't so alluring.

Zoey doesn’t know what to do to improve the wellness center’s income, and if her client list keeps dropping, she'll lose her business that she’d worked so hard on building. When Jesse’s best friend approaches Zoey and requests she take Jesse on as a client, Zoey jumps at the chance. Jesse Lincoln is full of anger and isn't afraid to show it, but everyone in town knows Jesse and he holds the power to help boost her business. Her goal at keeping their relationship slowly dissolves when she sees his compassion hidden under his jerk exterior.

Will Zoey be able to deny him while wrangling him into a position to help her professionally? Can Jesse hand his heart over again with the risk of having it shattered?

My Sexy Saturday- Cross the Line

Want to read a hot little novella by the pool this weekend? Grab a copy of Cross the Line here!

Fixated on him, I let myself be sucked into his stare.
I couldn’t touch him even though I wanted to with every part of my body. He had to be given the control in order to avoid scaring him away. His penetrating gaze told me everything I needed to know. I would have him before the end of the night. But he’d be the one doing the taking. And I’d let him.
“A little fun like this?” I yelled and pounced at him to dunk him under the water. The force of my petite figure was nothing compared to his muscled arms wrapped around me.
“Or like this?” And then he flipped me, sending me under again.
When I surfaced, he looked serious. “Leslie.”
“Yes?” I treaded water a few inches in front of him. The wind blew softly over us, the scent of flowers blowing in the breeze, and the sun sunk below the horizon, leaving us in just the glow of the pool lights. My senses heightened. Every part of my body ached for this man. It took all I had not to reach out for him, to slide my hands over his tattoos, or press my lips against his.
“I’ve never thought about being with another woman until now.” He moved toward me then. There were no more playful gestures. No more laughing, splashing, or fun. Instead, he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me to him. He stared as I slid my tongue over my bottom lip. Would he get the hint?

Meet Allie Boniface!

Welcome to the Cocktail Cruise Series by Allie Boniface! 3 stories, 1 ship...lose yourself on the waves...

Tequila Sunrise - releasing July 2014

Sex on the Beach - releasing August 2014

Between the Sheets - releasing September 2014

Tequila Sunrise (blurb):Recently dumped by her long-time boyfriend because she wasn’t thin enough, Louise Jamison wants to let loose and find love (or at least great sex) on board a romantic singles’ cruise. When she meets the man of her dreams at a speed dating event, Lou believes she’s struck gold.

Toby DeMarco is too busy building his new construction business to get involved in a serious relationship. He only goes on the four-day cruise because his best friend’s family owns the line and his sister works on it, so he got a great deal. He plans to relax, rejuvenate and maybe find a woman to pass the time with. But when he meets the luscious Louise, his heart's a goner and all bets are off.

A few days of romance are jeopardized when Louise learns that the cruise line’s matchmaking service assigns partners based on looks and weight. Mortified by this unethical business practice, she takes to social media and makes national headlines. But the publicity is hurting Toby’s family and friends – and family means everything to Toby.

Will Toby be able to convince Lou that true love exists beyond numbers, before it’s too late?

Tequila Sunrise (excerpt):
Lou turned away from the speed dating crowd and stared outside, where the sun was just beginning to slip toward the ocean. For a moment she wished she were one of the birds on the horizon, soaring and dipping far above the water. Carefree. Removed.

“Gorgeous, isn’t it?”

She froze. That voice. A tanned elbow touched hers. Spicy cologne sent her hormones rocketing. In slow motion, she turned. And bit her bottom lip. And tried to remember how to breathe. Well, there you are. Chocolate brown eyes caught and held hers. A smile, framed on one side by that deep dimple, sent something sinfully wonderful squiggling straight down to the pit of her stomach. Lower, actually, to a spot below her stomach that hadn’t felt anything in months.

“Hi. I’m Toby.”

Lou’s entire world splintered, and it was all she could do not to drop her drink and dive into his arms. Maybe Charming Hearts hadn’t been a bad idea after all.

My Sexy Saturday- Midnight Secrets

Please enjoy the start of the one-night-stand Allison meant to have with Miguel... of course, there is always tomorrow for more of this sexy stuff. If you want to find out if Allison gives in to Miguel, you can grab Midnight Secrets here!

The words intoxicated her, or the wine finally started to work, making her relax against him. Were those the words she needed to hear? She took a deep breath, enjoyed the spicy scent of his cologne, and his arms holding her tight against him. Even the moon seemed a little brighter as it started coming up for the night.

She snuggled closer to him, allowing his hot breath to brush across her ear, sending shivers down her spine. Being with Miguel made her realize how much she’d missed the security that came with being with a man. If she’d known what she’d been missing, she might’ve dated sooner. But what if he caused this sensation to come over her and nobody else could? Nope, not Miguel. It couldn’t be him because that would mean this was more than she thought. No entanglements. Only fun. And that’s what she’d have.

Allison pulled back a tiny bit to look in his dark eyes. She moved her face forward to brush her lips gently against his. The simple kiss shot sparks through her body. Her lips parted and she tasted the tip of his tongue as it played just inside her mouth. Heat swirled around in her belly and traveled in both directions through her body, all the way down to the tips of her toes and up to her cheeks, making every part of her body long for him. Opening her mouth more provided the chance to take his tongue all the way in.

His hand reached under the back of her shirt to trace small circles over her skin with his warm fingers, then moved around her side to her stomach. “Do you want me to stop?”

“Oh, God no.”

She’d probably die from the yearning to be touched pulsating through her nipples, if he dared to stop. It had been so long since someone had come in contact with the sensitive skin and she wanted Miguel to do the touching. And sucking. Probably even some nibbling.

My Sexy Saturday- Confessions

Who wants to go for a swim with a sexy hero? I sure do!! Check out Confessions in the Passionate Kisses Boxed Set. You find the set of 10 full length books here!

Jordan swam in the pool. His muscles tensed with each stroke slicing through the water. For moment she stood there mesmerized by the sight of him. Oh, he was so sexy.

Not wanting to get caught staring at him, she walked over to the pool steps and went down until the water barely reached her thighs. She took a place on the top step and opened her book while she held the gel pack with her other hand. She read the first sentence under the chapter one heading before her eyes turned back to Jordan, who was swimming the length of the pool. His taut back muscles were barely visible underneath the water, but the sight of him made her intimate areas grow hot anyway. The urge was so powerful she could barely sit still on the step.

“This is torture,” she whispered without meaning to. But it was. Watching the sexy man move smoothly through the water, with the droplets glistening on his tanned skin, and not being able to touch him tortured her. He looked up at her, then ducked his head back under the water.

She tried to ignore him coming closer to her. It worked for the most part until she felt his strong hands slide up her bare thighs. She squirmed away from him and pretended to be focused on her book.

“Your bikini looks great.”

My Sexy Saturday- sneak peek at Jesse's Girl!

Jesse's Girl is going through edits right now. Here's a sneak peek for My Sexy Saturday. I hope you enjoy!

“Downward Dog,” she called out to the five other people in the room. “Let me demonstrate and then I’ll walk around to help you develop the correct form.”
Jesse didn’t need to know the correct anything while in this class but pretended to be an attentive student as Zoey bent over with her hands and feet planted on the mat, her legs spread apart to have her ass up in the air. Sure, it was supposed to be some sort of exercise move, but Zoey’s smokin’ body made Jesse switch his thoughts from fitness to pornographic fantasies where Zoey starred. He let his gaze travel over her firm ass and settled on her center. As he shifted his position on his yoga mat to relieve the tension growing in his lap, he wondered how the hell he was going to do downward dog with a hard-on?
He managed to move into the painful position. “Zoey, is this right?” he called out so she would move out of the pose, but he hadn’t expected her to come over to him.
“Almost but not quite, Jesse.” When she slid her hand up the back of his hamstring, his breath caught in his chest, almost causing him to choke when it finally rushed between his lips.
“Relax,” she said softly. “And don’t lock your knees.”
He would’ve been able to relax if she didn’t continue to slide her smooth hand up to the back of his thigh. “I’m trying.”

“Tighten this leg more but don’t tense up. Does that make sense?”

Writing "The End"

I'm excited and motivated to finish the 3rd book in the Desert Secrets Series. There are only 3 scenes left to write before I hit that wonderful phrase, "The End!" Will I write those words today? I sure hope so but not counting on it. Sigh.

I do love what I'm writing right now though. When I tell you that my characters take me on a journey with them, I'm not lying. The heroine and hero are looking for a missing guy who may or may not have some information on the murder of a beloved citizen of Wilson. They do find him but is he dead or alive? I have no idea until I get to that scene.

Gotta go... there is some writing to do...

Big Projects and My New Favorite Place!

I really haven't been posting much lately because I'm working on 3 big projects... 3 new romance box sets! Two of my books will be in two of the bundles and I'm organizing another. Tons and Tons of work.

On that note, I'm glad we discovered my new favorite place. The hot spring a few miles from our house. I love going there on Sundays with Dan and relax in the warm water. I actually hurt my back two weeks ago (I fell out of my chair.. don't ask haha) and couldn't get the pain to go away. We soaked in the hot spring for about a half hour and my pain was gone.

Until next time...

Camp Nanowrimo is Now Over!

It's over! I had such a roller coaster of a month that I'm surprised I wrote any words. I didn't meet the goal of 50k on Dangerous Desires, but I did write 15k words. I am proud of everyone single one of those 15k words too.

So what's next? I'm pushing Dangerous Desires to the side for now while I finish Lost and Found, Desert Secrets Book 3. After I write "The End" on that book, I will finish up Dangerous Desires.

Camp Nanowrimo Sneak Peek!

Here is another unedited Camp Nanowrimo sneak peek of Dangerous Desires, the second book in the Mafia Hearts series! Get the first book here!

He sipped the soda the waitress placed on the table. “We needed to meet somewhere private because what I have to say to you is extremely sensitive. Nobody can know about the issue. Do I have your trust?”
She slowly nodded her head. Of course he could trust her. What a stupid question.
“You’ll be the assistant to the madam, right?”
“Mm hm. That’s what you told me last night.” Her heart raced with anticipation of the secret he was about to lay on her.
“I believe that someone is stealing money from me.” He plucked a tortilla chip from a wooden bowl and crunched on it.
“That isn’t good, but what does that have to do with me?”
“I think it is someone in my escort office and I’m sending you in there to be the assistant but also to find out who the hell is stealing from me.”
She narrowed her eyes and said, “So like be a spy.”
“Absolutely. As an assistant, you’ll have access to all the documents and will be able to see the activities going on it the office. Will you do it?”
Did she want to be planted somewhere to rat other people off? It wasn’t good that they were stealing from Sebastian but damn. What if she got caught? She had to do it. The risk was worth it to her to get the answers she needed and the job she wanted.
“Okay, I’ll do it.” She smiled as she waited for his response.
He took a drink of soda and then grinned. “Great. I really appreciate this.”
                “Not so fast, Sebastian.”
Setting the glass down onto the table while locking eye contact with her, he said, “What does that mean?”
“It means that I do you a favor and want something in return.”
“Isn’t a big fat paycheck enough?”
She shook her head. “I’ve wanted this for a long time. Did you ever wonder what you were going to eat for dinner because your mother hadn’t found work yet in the twelfth town you lived in that year? Or if you’d have to wear dirty clothes to school again?”
“Mia,” he said, sliding his hand over hers, “things weren’t that bad at Crestview.”
She liked the physical contact between them. His touch sent shivers up her spine. Wanting to keep her composure and her mind focused on business instead of her damp panties, she pulled her hand away. “After my father’s murder. My mother took off in fear and we moved from city to city. I was hungry most nights because she never made enough. I knew then that I wanted to go back to Las Vegas and become involved in what my father had been trying for. A crime family. Your crime family.”

New Reviews!

Look what readers are saying:

About A Final Kiss: To read all of the reviews click here!

5 star!
"This book had all of the components of a great book! The author didn't keep me waiting in suspense the whole entire book wondering who the villain was, instead we knew right away. It was just waiting to see when they were going to make their move. I loved the idea of people finding each other again later in life and this book had me smiling from page one."

5 Star!

"The story was fast paced, intriguing and intense. As I read, I couldn't help but wonder if Kate and Tony would have their happy ending. I wasn't sure, nor was I sure if Kate's issues would be resolved. In the end, the author answered my questions and provided a satisfying conclusion.

If you like a darker read that captures the power of a deep abiding love between two people, then this book is for you!"

Plucked right from my life... a Camp Nanowrimo Update

I promised a sneak peek at one of the scenes from my Camp Nanowrimo project. Well, here is something that I've been working on. This scene is a special one because the apartment complex resembles a complex I used to live in several years ago. One thing I should mention is that the actual scene with the couple fighting isn't based on anyone I knew, but we did have a couple there that fought in the middle of the night all the time. They'd wake me up even though I lived on the first floor with them on the second floor and 6 apartments between us.

Anyway, jump into Mia and Sebastian's life. Remember, this isn't edited. I hope you enjoy the scene!

As they approached the parking lot of her complex, he frowned and stared up at the three story building. Heat rushed over her face as she took the view of her home in. Faded yellow paint. Each trash can sat overflowing, the fallen trash scattered around its base. Unkempt plants. A dirty pool. At least it looked better at night.
“You live here?” He shifted his attention from the ratty complex to her.
Letting her frown match his, she said, “Yes, why?”
“Doesn’t the casino pay you enough?”
She gave a shy laugh. “It does now. I was on a limited budget when I first got here and didn’t have a job. This is all I could get on my arrival to Vegas.”
“Which one do you live in?” He stared up at the building again.
“Third floor. Wonderful, huh?”
A door opened on the second floor and a female, her arms full of clothing, stomped to the railing and threw the garments over. She turned but didn’t go back inside. Instead, she screamed to an unseen person, “Get out of here you lousy son-of-a-bitch!”
A man finally stepped outside and held out a hand. “Come in here, babe. You don’t want them to call the cops again, do you?” He kept his voice calm and soothing as he stepped even closer to her.
Mia held her breath as she watched the scenario playing out before her. Would the woman go? Probably. She’d heard this couple fight many times since arriving and watched him get hauled off to jail once just to find him back at the woman’s place the following afternoon. But why did this have to happen when Sebastian stood in their parking lot?
The woman took a step to the side, dodging the man’s touch. “Get the fuck out,” she screamed. Doors all around them started opening. Mia’s neighbors either popped their head out, grumbled something before slamming the door shut again or they stepped outside to watch the action. One man asked if she needed any help in which her boyfriend told the guy to fuck himself.
Not wanting to see any more of the fighting and feeling safer behind her locked door, Mia said, “Thanks for walking me home. Have a good night, Sebastian.”
“I’ll walk you up to your door. I have a proposal for you. I was going to bring it up tomorrow but now I’m not sure we should wait.” He kept his eyes on the couple who were just getting louder by the second.
“I won’t even pass by them. My place is over there. What’s your proposition?” Whatever it was, Sebastian needed to hurry up.
“I’m sure how much of the casino you know about, but we run an escort service right out of the casino.”
She held her hand up to stop whatever words were coming next. “If you think I’m going to prostitute, you’re crazier than those people upstairs.”
He shook his head and laughed. “First of all, there is a difference between an escort and a prostitute, Mia. And second, I don’t want you to be one. I want you to be the madam’s assistant. The pay is a lot better and we’ll go into more details if you want the job. Think about it and we’ll meet up tomorrow. Say, noonish? I’ll pick you up and we’ll grab some lunch.” He offered a smile and a small wave before turning toward the driveway.
Stunned by his offer, she headed up the stairs at the far end of the building, adding distance between her and the fighting couple. When she reached the second floor landing, she glanced back at him and found Sebastian at the corning of the parking lot, watching to make sure she got to her apartment safely. Her heart swelled in her chest. Sebastian still cared about her. Still watched over her as he’d done when they were kids. By the time she reached her front door on the third floor, she wished she could invite him in but never would at this place.

Swing...

We finally finished our move yesterday. We've been at the new house all week but had to return to Phoenix to finish moving stuff and cleaning the house. Turning the keys into the landlord closed that chapter of our lives. On the 3 1/2 hour trip back to our new house, Dan and I talked about what a stress relief that was. We no longer have two homes/ two rents to pay. Whew! Now it's time to get back into the swing of things!

Camp Nanowrimo update: I was able to write some over the week, but seriously, moving was the priority. Oh, I have tons of boxes to unpack but watch a change in my work count to climb.

Moving!

I have some BIG news! We are moving this weekend. By Sunday we should be in our new house 4 hours away from where we live now. New town, new people to meet, new places to explore. I'm excited for this new adventure in our life.

Boxes and Books: Camp Nanowrimo Update #2

I did write a little yesterday but didn't make my word count. Yuck. I almost hit it... just not quite. Today I just don't have any writing time. This morning will be full of packing and cleaning. This afternoon will be errands I need to run before we leave... stupid stuff like taking the cable box into the store because we have to switch service and on and on.

You know, sometimes I complain about having this "gift" of being a writer. Right now I'm so thankful because writing is giving me some peaceful time out of the day. Don't get me wrong. I'm excited for this move. New town. New part of the state. New people. I'm all for an adventure. My home and life is just in chaos while I try to get everything ready by tomorrow. Writing right now
gives me a sense of normalcy in all of this craziness. Not today though. Too much stuff. Too little time! Off I go...

Camp Nanowrimo Update #1

I'm off to a great start. Yesterday I sat down to make my word count. The problem that I have is that we are moving so I have to spend the majority of my day packing and cleaning this house. I sat down yesterday with the idea that I had to zip out the word requirement of about 1600 words to finish the program in April.

And I did it! It only took about an hour or so and then I was off onto my required tasks for the rest of the day. Today is even busier because our move is on Sunday.

So... I need to write. Check back tomorrow for an update and I might even throw a scene up for you to read!

Unsettled

Unless you are a very close friend, you probably don't know what I'm going through right now. Dan was laid off in January and took a job away from home. I see him about 1 night every two weeks. You see, Dan and I did everything together (except work) before he left. It is so hard having him gone. Not only am I dealing with missing him, but I have all of my responsibilities at home plus his and my son is acting out some because he misses Dan. It's hard on all of us. and I don't like it. I have this never ending unsettled feeling. It's like I live in a snow-globe that is being shaken all the time. I can't wait for things to get settled... and for us to be together again.

What are you reading, Wendy?

I've been hooked on a new series and can't wait for the next book to come out. What is it? I'm reading Profile of Evil by Alexa Grace. This book grabbed me and has held me into the story the entire time. I'm not done reading yet and I love every page.

Here are my favorite things about the book:

  • Alexa doesn't hold back. When she writes evil, she really goes for the throat. Many writers wouldn't touch the subject of a child predator who does really kinky stuff on the young teenagers. It's hard to see what these sweet girls go through, but I have a feeling the killer is going to get his.
  • I don't think she considers her books as romance, but I'm loving the romance blooming between two of the characters.
  • Even her background characters add a unique element to the story. I think the character's name is Charles (I'm not sure on this) and he grabs a telescope to watch the sting. Okay... I laughed out loud over this and probably would do the same!
Anyway, you should check out her book. It's awesome!!

My Sexy Saturday- sneak peak of Finding Home

Enjoy this unedited sneak peak of Finding Home, the 4th book in the Desert Secrets series!

She slowly pulled the door opened and listened for movement in her house. None. She took a step out and listened some more. Still nothing. Had he left? Part of her basked in relief that he probably wasn’t in her space anymore while she denied any of the disappointment trying to tango with her heart. No men. No relationship. And certainly not hot movie stars!  She shook her head as she made her way down the hall and into the kitchen. No, there wasn’t any room in her life for anyone like Zane Adler.
After grabbing a bottled water from the fridge, she heard him bump into some furniture.
“Don’t go,” he said from the living room. “I can’t stand the idea of not having you in my arms at night. Every night. Be with me. Now.” Those pleading words were like arrows to piercing her soul. Drawn to him, she kicked her heels off in the kitchen and tiptoed down the hallway. She wanted just a glimpse of him acting.
His back was turned to her, his shoulders tense as his hands gripped his waist. She let her gaze fall onto his shaggy, dishwater-blond hair and then took in the sight of him. She twisted the cap as quiet as she could and took a sip of water as her eyes trailed down the length of him, resting longer on his broad shoulders and then his shapely ass. His baggy jeans hid his lower half but she figured that half of his body was just as toned as the revealed upper part. Desire boiled in the pit of her stomach and pooled between her legs, dampening her panties.
Not seeing her behind him, he continued with his lines. “What? Don’t say that,” he said, his voice dropping him more as if he had a broken heart. “Don’t do this to me.”
How was it possible to detest this man from the moment he walked into her front door, and now she was almost drooling over him? She shook her head again. This just didn’t make sense. “You’re a stupid woman, Bailey Roan,” she mumbled to herself.

He must’ve heard her voice because he whirled around to face her. “Oh,” he said, “You startled me.”
